Job Title: VP/Director of Hyperscale Sales, Europe
Reports to: EVP WW Sales, Hyperscalers Regional Managing Director of Sales, CCO, or Global Sales Leadership.
Location: Major European hub (London, Paris, Frankfurt) with remote flexibility.
Role Overview
The European Sales Leader for Hyperscale is responsible for driving strategic sales initiatives, accelerating market penetration, and securing long-term, high-value commercial agreements (leases/contracts) with global and regional hyperscalers, including CSPs, AI Infrastructure platforms, Neocloud, MAFO and large-scale digital content players. You will lead the development of the European sales strategy for the hyperscale segment and oversee the sales cycle from lead generation to contract negotiation. Accountable for sales performance of the full portfolio into Hyperscalers, Neocloud, etc across Western Europe. ,

Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning & Growth: Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies tailored to the European market, aligning with company goals for revenue, market share, and capacity utilization. Ability to excel in a complex selling environment driving consistent strategy across multiple customer sets
- Account Management: Build and maintain senior-level relationships (C-suite, Procurement, Engineering) with major Hyperscalers (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) to secure "preferred supplier" status.
- Revenue & Pipeline Management: Achieve or exceed quarterly and annual revenue quotas and maintain a robust, qualified sales pipeline. Regularly updates team forecast within CRM tools to capture near term and longer-term opportunities. Leverages forecast to work with supply chain to predict s needs in the coming quarters.
- Forecasting & Execution: Ensure SalesForce forecast accuracy and execution against plans
- Complex Negotiations: Lead large, complex, and high-stakes contract negotiations (RFP/RFI responses).
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with Product, Legal, Engineering, and Supply chain teams to ensure seamless delivery and client satisfaction.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes in the European data center market.
- Leadership: Lead, mentor, and build a high-performing sales team. Recruits, motivates and leads a team of salespeople responsible for executing the account strategy for assigned products/solutions. Creates a "hunting" and winning sales culture, that understands, anticipates and articulates customer needs.
- Industry Leadership: Act as a trusted advisor and thought leader in the regional Market.
- Experience: 10+ years in technology, data center colocation, or commercial real estate sales, with at least 5+ years specifically focused on hyperscale clients.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of data center infrastructure, AI/HPC requirements, and procurement cycles. Experience with Optical and IP networking infrastructure is strongly preferred.
- Leadership Skills: Proven track record in sales management, mentoring teams, and operating in a matrixed, international environment. Ability to lead cross-functional teams effectively
- Negotiation: Exceptional negotiation skills with experience in closing long-term, complex, multi-million dollar deals.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (MBA is a plus).
- Languages: Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in other European languages (German, French) is highly desirable.
- Travel: Willingness to travel frequently across Europe (approx. 30-50% of the time).
- Strategic Thinking and Business Planning:: Ability to map long-term customer needs with company capabilities. Ability to define short, medium-, and long-term business plans aligned with regional and global strategies.
- Relationship Building: Strong interpersonal skills to influence at the C-level. Ability to identify and engage with all key stakeholders.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with all levels of the customer and internal organizations.
- Analytical Skills: Proficient in CRM (Salesforce) and financial modeling to analyze market opportunities.
- Resilience: Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
